Frame a Place to Hang Your Keys!

Are you like me?  Always looking around the house for your keys?  In our previous home we had a little place for our keys, but I was looking for something different this time.  When I ran across this idea- I knew it would be perfect.

The trickiest part of this project was finding the perfect frame.  I didn't want it to be too large or too small, about 8 1/2" x 6 1/2 " would be perfect.  I also wanted the frame to have some texture of it's own.  Finally, the frame had to be thick enough to hang little hooks inside it.  So, where did I find the perfect frame?  Our local 2nd hand store.

I decided on gold hooks rather than white because it gave it just a little extra bling.

You can see here how it was important to find a frame that was thick.

Now we have a simple solution to a potentially big problem----we're keeping track of our keys in style!

  3. I love, love this! Months ago, I started doing this cleaning/organizing website thing. The first thing they recommended to do is get a place to put your keys, that way you never waste another second finding keys. Ummm..still haven't done it. I love this, though! I'm pinning for the hopefully very near future! Thanks for sharing at our Weekend Wonders Party!! xoxo

  6. Do your keys scrape up the wall/paint? (The hubs first question when I started the project - and since he is the wall painter I thought I would check with you first.)
