Not too long ago I came across a book in Barnes and Noble called Amigurumi World, Seriously Cute Crochet by Anna Paula Rimoli. It intrigued me because I have two boys who love to play with stuffed animals. My daughter doesn't so much, but they do, and they have a great time using their imagination.
After looking the book over I decided I needed to see if Anna Paula had a website, research for free patterns online, and see if I could check her book out at the library. Well, she does have a website, http://amigurumipatterns.blogspot.com/, I did find some free patterns, and I was able to check her book out at the library.
Since then, I have made many amigurumis. Many of them we gave away as gifts. Here are two that my boys still have.
They have been loved on a lot. The ducky especially looks a little frazzled. :0) They really are not very difficult to make, and most of them I was able to make in a couple of hours in the evening.
Here are a few links that might help you out if you would like to try your hand at Amigurumi making.
