Decadent Chocolate Fudge Cake

I love to bake desserts.  Because of that, many times when we go out to eat and decide to get dessert I am very disappointed.  Cakes are dry, puddings or custards are rubbery, pie crusts are not flaky, etc...  Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy them, but I always leave thinking, "the desserts I make at home taste much better than this!"   With this in mind, I decided that for our anniversary I would make our own dessert to enjoy at home, avoiding the disappointing end to a great meal.  I already had a chocolate cake baked and waiting in the freezer, but I wanted something to finish it off that would be spectacular.  So, where did I search?  Of course, Pinterest!

After my long search I settled on trying this frosting by My Homemade Life.  The fun thing about this recipe was that when you stick it in the fridge, it hardens and tastes just like fudge!

It was absolutely delicious!!!  I will definitely be making it again.  The leftover frosting we have been using on top of vanilla ice cream.  YUMMMM!  Just posting these pictures is making my mouth water.... :0)

Happy Anniversary Babe!!!
