My daughter wanted a beach theme for her birthday party. She started out thinking shells, sand, etc... then it went to pool, water games, and palm trees. This is what we ended up with.
Here's a closer view of the cake. I was so excited to find this blue icing at Aldi. Her birthday was just before the fourth of July, so they had just the perfect color of blue for the water.

To make the boardwalk I used pretzels and icing. The sand was crushed up cinnamon graham crackers. The little beach towels were fruit roll-ups, and finally I added some smore's goldfish. She loved it, and it was fun to put it together.
