News........

Well, it is time to finally write this post.  I have been holding off for a while, making sure it was the right thing to do.

As many of you know my hubby is disabled.  You can read more about our story here.  Over the last month or so he has begun to have a lot more "bad days".  Actually, almost 4 weeks in a row of them, rather than the typical 4-5 days.  During his "bad days" David requires a lot more care.  Which I am honored and more than happy to give him.   But, because of that my blogging has taken a real hit.  Posting has become very scarce.  I have still been creating, because that is just a huge part of whom I am and have always been.  I just haven't had a chance to share anything with you, my readers.

Unfortunately, we really haven't seen these "bad days" begin to get any better.  We have a doctor's appointment coming up, but we don't know if there will be much change after that either.

All this to say, you may not be seeing anything new for quite a while.  My blog will still be here though, and I will do my best to answer questions and comments.  I would love to be able to get back to blogging, but as you all know, husbands are a lot more important than blogs.  :)  God is in control and His plan is perfect!  I guess we'll have to wait and see what His plan for this blog is.

For those of you who have been participating in my weekly Simply Create Link party with Ashley at Simply Designing, please head on over to her blog.  You'll find that she will be continuing to host the party every Thursday, beginning at 10:00 PM Est.

Thank you for being such supportive and encouraging readers!  I am always thrilled to hear how something I have created has inspired or helped you in some way.  I'm looking forward to sharing with you again sometime, if the Lord wills.

Hugs,

  5. Husbands ARE more important than blogs, and you're amazing to give up (even temporarily) something you love for someone you love.

  6. Hi Melissa,
I found your blog because apparently you follow mine and I was so encouraged reading your about me section, particularly where you talk about the things you have learned through your husband's disability.
Right now, things in my life are relatively easy, I was recently married and I am four and a half months pregnant. But I know, from the past and from promises in the Word, that trials will come, and it is so important to be thinking rightly now so that I am somewhat prepared for the future and whatever God might bring into our lives.
    Thanks so much!

    1. You're so right, Amanda!! God is always preparing us. I am so glad that God is in control of allowing trials in our lives. We can trust Him that He won't give us anything we can't handle with His help. {insert Footprints poem here } :)
