How to Decorate with Fall Leaves

We are getting ready to move in about a month, so I didn't want to purchase anything new for fall decorations this year.  Who wants to pack more than you have to?   Because of this I decided to look around the yard for decorations.  I wanted some sort of "garland" for the mirror in the dining room, so I decided to grab some quilting thread, a needle, and began to string leaves.   The kids and I ended up taking a walk and we strung and strung leaves.  They had a lot of fun, and it gave us some good "Mommy Time".

I think it turned out pretty fun.

I also added some orange Halloween lights that I got on sale for .49, thinking they would be perfect for Thanksgiving.

It won't be re-usable, but it sure turned out fun for this year.

Later this afternoon I was skimming through Pinterest, and saw a post that led me to these Leaf Roses.

Since I had just been playing around with leaves, I had to try my hand at it.

I really was surprised that they ended up looking so nice.  I thought for sure that it was going to be a whole lot more difficult than it was.

How fun, roses made out of leaves, who woulda' thunk?
